Suppose you are a fan of shows like The Expanse, science fiction books set in space, space sims like Kerbal Space Program and SimpleRockets 2, or you enjoy watching SpaceX launches. In that case, you may want to broaden your knowledge of rocket science and orbital mechanics. Unfortunately, many books and courses on these topics require lots of physics and advanced math. SimpleRockets is both an app and a PC game that lets users design their own rockets and launch them into space. There are two versions: SimpleRockets (now often called SimpleRockets 1 to distinguish it from the newer version) and SimpleRockets 2. While there are some similarities between the two versions, they are in many ways very different games. And not just because the older version is 2D while the newer version is 3D. Because of these differences, some players may want to get both and some may prefer the earlier version.
